Acrylic Snowmen

This is such a fun third project! We use watercolor paper for these lively fellows. They are peering into the scene. You will notice that it is a lesson in one-point perspective. It's a step-by-step with artistic license for the decorating of trees and the snowman's clothing. Here are some in-progress pictures and I will be uploading finished snowmen pics in a few days. Be sure to check back to see them.

Our next project is called Falling for Foreshortening. It is a lesson on using a theme and on using prospective. These are done in colored pencils. The students learn how to use colored pencils in different ways to get a smooth or textured look. Students are able to put their former lesson in portraiture to good use as well. Can't wait to show you some pictures of the foreshortening!
