It's hard to believe that the second week of art classes at Youthful Expressions Studio is behind us. The time just flew by and was very rewarding. The Charcoal Zebras are up on the website now. Please go see them... www.yestudio.org/gallery. Then click on Spring 2010.
Our YES-Kids learned how to use the three kinds of charcoal, how to use the blending stumps and to mix mediums. They did a watercolor, wet on wet wash for their backgrounds. They learned about color usage, how to use shapes to build their drawings of the Zebras, and they learned about contour.
They were encouraged to use their own personal touches to bring out the personality of their Zebra. They had a good time and we are very happy with their individual results.
Here are a few examples of finished Zebras. Their Zebras will soon be featured at... www.artsonia.com. You can see your favorite artist's work, comment on their progress and even purchase something showing their special artwork. Just become a 'fan' of your favorite artist/s.
Please become a follower on this blog too. You will receive notifications when new art becomes available. I will feature several artists and their work with each posting.
YEStudio will be on Spring break next week. The schools have different times for their breaks, so we had to just pick a week. We will resume classes on March 22nd and 23rd.
The next project will be an exciting and fun one. It's a surprise!
YEStudio is still taking students. They can start between projects and cost will be prorated. Join us for fun, educational art!
Want to let others know you are a YES-Kid? There are cool Inda-Studio shirts on sale at ArtSpace or on www.indaguy.com website. Shirts are $20. each or two for $36. Be sure to watch for a $2-off coupon in the next YEStudio newsletter! ;-)
Wow... so much talent! The kids are really doing great this session! I can't believe we are only in our second week. Imagine what they will be turning out by the end of the 12 weeks. They are all a bunch of good kids too. A pleasure to work with!
