This is our second project this session. The YESKids are using Charcoal to depict a likeness of one of their fellow students. It is a very difficult project and we think they have done an excellent job! There will be pictures of the artist, their rendition, and their subject, side by side in the YEStudio Gallery online. Be sure to check them out. I am posting a couple of them on this blog. Hope you enjoy them. Please join the blog as a member, so you can comment on the works.
First, they drew the shape of the face, then they did the eyes, the nose and the mouth. They enjoyed doing the final touches the most. They loved giving their subject hair, eye color and some jewelry, in some cases. This project took them two weeks.
Next we will do a project depicting a winter scene with a snowman/woman. We will be using Acrylics for this project. Should be a lot of fun! I will be back later with pictures of the snow people. See you then!
